Local pick up clarification - important update

Hi everyone! 

So we’re trialing Backerkit’s BETA ‘charge shipping later’ feature, which has its benefits, but also, as the name suggests, is still in development.

We are offering local pickup options in London, Surrey and Brighton, at coffee shops to be confirmed. If you select this option, you won’t be charged shipping (woop!).

However, and here is the catch - finding this option in Backerkit’s pledge manager is like finding Georgia’s Mtskheta while blind folded and driving with your elbows (not advised). 

When you go to put in your shipping details, it is in the COUNTRY FIELD that you will find ‘Local Pickup’. See screenshot below!

We’d love to meet as many of you as possible and hand over your games (and save you some shipping costs), so please, if you’re able to get to one of our local pick ups then select that option when you complete your survey. You can still go and make adjustments before June 6th.

We'll be locking the orders on 1st June so please make sure to add any additional items and fill in your address by then. 🗓️

Shipping will be charged separately, closer to the fulfilment date, to ensure you get the most accurate costs possible. 💪💪

Hello, our lovely backers,

First of all, THANK YOU! 🙏  Without sounding too cliche, we really couldn't have done this without you. We're grateful for every single one of you who decided to join us on this amazing adventure - it’s truly been a labour of love (sometimes there was a bit of anger too but hey, that's the rollercoaster of any creative process...)

Now...back to business!

A few things need to happen before we can kick off production and fulfilment.

👇Here's a quick rundown👇:

First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks).

Second, all pledges need to be locked down together with all backer shipping information. We're using BackerKit, so we'll be sending everyone a survey to collect all the necessary info we need. Expect this in about 2 weeks.  ✉️

If you are thinking "what the hell is BackerKit and what's going on", DON'T WORRY, we'll share more information closer to the date and keep you in the loop every step of the way to make the process as smooth as possible.

Now...onto the fun stuff. ATTRACTION CARDS VOTE!

As soon as we hit £12k and £15k stretch goals 🥳🥳 which included FAN VOTED ATTRACTION CARDS, we got messages from our backers eager to get involved, asking WHEN and HOW. Well, the answer is NOW and HERE.

New Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Hi Travellers!

Great news - we’ve unlocked our next stretch goal! We’ll be bringing an attraction to Route East in Syria - and our backers will be voting for which one. 

We’ll be launching a survey the day after our campaign ends (9 days now!) just so everyone who has helped make Route East possible gets to vote. Here are our options so far - though recommendations are appreciated!

• Aleppo Citadel
• Temple of Bel
• Ain Dara
• Cathedral of St. Simeon Stylite
• Palmyra
• Bosra

Don't forget Gone Rogue Lite!

Just a reminder that our Gone Rogue Lite (print & play) expansion is now up as an add-on for £1. Make sure you add it to your pledge - it’s a thrilling addition to Route East that adds even more resource management and planning to the game!

Hey Travellers, we promised a surprise!

So, many of our backers have mentioned in the comments how intrigued they are by Gone Rogue. Well, it’s a fun expansion that we’ve been playtesting since summer last year - and yes, it's very exciting.

The main ‘Gone Rogue’ expansion is unlocked at £25k. Unfortunately, we can’t bring this in earlier due to minimum order requirements, but with so many requests for it we wanted to at least give you a taster!

And so…we’re launching a print & play, ‘Lite’ version of Gone Rogue to add even more strategy and foul play into the game! You'll find this as a £1 add-on in our campaign.

Build your own hotels!

Players start with 5 custom hotels each. These can be placed over any Hostel or Hotel (1 per turn) outside of the Freight Train exclusion zone from your second move, though cost 1 move to do so.

Free for you to stay at, $50 for ‘guests’!

Build and get perks with the bonus dashboard.

Get extra moves, drop roadblocks, build bridges and more!

In Route East, Fuel Tokens are vital to crossing borders. With the ‘Gone Rogue Lite’ expansion you’ll be able to BUY extra Fuel Tokens when at a fuel station. These can then be collected in order to build benefits. You’ll have to choose where to commit your Fuel Tokens to though, as they can’t be moved once allocated. Once placed outside your Fuel Deposit (on a bonus space), Fuel tokens can’t be moved - not even to cross a border. And…of course, any Fuel Token can be stolen!

We're so excited to bring you this awesome twist on Route East - now available as an add-on in our campaign. We've still got everything crossed that the expansion can be unlocked, but if not, here's a nice option for you. Gone Rogue Lite will only be available to Kickstarter backers, and all of you who do add it on will receive 15% off the expansion when it becomes available. ‘Gone Rogue Lite’ Print & Play will be available to download from September 2022.
