Guess what…Route East is officially on the production line!!!!

In our last update, we shared some pictures of the final prototype that we’d received to review. Between then and now, we’ve been really taking our time to review every element of the game. While we’d delivered print files fully checked (by our team of 6 rigorous proofreaders), we wanted to ensure nothing is amiss on the final prototype and give it one final run over.

While taking a few extra weeks than planned, we’re still on track and, fingers crossed, we’ll be able to hit our early target delivery time of December. We’d love to get these to you guys before Christmas!

Delivery and potential issues

We want to be transparent - just to manage expectations. Route East will be boxed, wrapped and loaded onto pallets by mid-September, that much we know. From that point, we’re expecting a 30-45 day shipping and customs period - but that’s the bit that we may hit problems with. Any potential delays will be at this point in the process - please keep everything crossed! We’ll be keeping you regularly updated too.

In terms of dispatch to you, if you selected local pick up in either London or Brighton we’ll be confirming two dates for each place as soon as we know when they’ll be with us. There’ll also be an opportunity a little later down the line for you to change your delivery/pick-up preferences and addresses, don’t worry.

For those that chose to have your copy of the game delivered, it’s most likely we’ll be using Amazon for fulfilment (for UK,US and EU). While it’s not the cheapest for us, it’s the cheapest for you, and the most convenient option at the moment. We’ll be delivering batches to Amazon warehouses as soon as they are with us, and from there your copies will be dispatched.

Gone Rogue Lite

If you’ve downloaded our print and play files you may be wanting to add Gone Rogue Lite to it, for a very different kind of game. Good news - if you’ve purchased the £1 add-on you’ll be receiving print and play files in the next 5 days! These will be coming to you via Backerkit and you’ll get an email that says something along the lines of ‘Your download is ready’. Keep an eye out, and if not check on your account in a week or so and you should find them there!

We don’t want to be spamming you guys, so updates via Kickstarter will go out when we have something interesting to say. However, if you need more, make sure you’re following us over on Insta - @LostVentureGames. We’ve asked our manufacturer to send us regular pictures and videos of the game being made, and we’ll share these on IG

Hi Travellers! 👋👋

It’s been a few weeks since we were in touch, but a lot has happened in that time.

Our FINAL Route East prototype has landed! Our manufacturer has produced this to allow us to do the very last set of checks prior to going into the full production run - so that’s our weekend sorted!

At the first glance - it’s beautiful! What do you think?

Our weekend plans are ‘Pimms and checking🔍’ - which means next week, all being well, we should be giving the green light for production.🎉🎉

Production, once we have signed everything off, takes around 30 days, with shipping about the same. That’s putting our December delivery very much on track.💪

Our FINAL Route East prototype is in a box on its way to London! 

We successfully hit our end-of-May deadline for final artwork and our manufacturer has now worked up digital prototypes for both safety testing and final review. 

We expect to have these in the next week or so - which means final sign-off from our side and then 4 weeks of production to be booked in.

We’re 100% on track with our December / January delivery timeline - perhaps even a little ahead (but let’s not speak too soon!). Watch this space!

We’ll drop some pics over once we have the copy.

Hey folks,

Just a quick update for you and an important reminder about those Backerkit Surveys! We’ll be locking surveys in the next week in order to secure our first run of Route East. All artwork and files are now with the manufacturer, and our timeline running to a December/January delivery is well and truly in play! If you have not yet completed your survey (around 10% of backers) please go and check your emails - there should be a link there! If you have any problems of course reach out to us.

Don’t worry - there will be a chance to update your shipping address before we send the games out! 

 We’re also finishing up print & play files for ‘Gone Rogue’ - lookout for updates on this in the next month or two!

For those of you who have been following our updates, you’ll also remember two additional stretch goal fan-voted attractions we promised to include. Well, they have both been illustrated now and are looking absolutely stunning. See below the Temple of Bel, Syria, and Eram Garden in Iran. 

We’ll keep you posted with our production timeline, and as mentioned, if you need to update your order on Backerkit, please do so in the next week!

Printing & Play now available!

Hi Everyone,

Just a heads up that Print & Play files have been dispatched - just in time for the weekend! Check your inboxes for a notification from BackerKit, who are hosting the file and where you can download them. Anyone who has (or does in the future) purchase a physical copy of the game will be eligible for print & play files.

Be sure to tag @lostventuregames over on Insta with any pictures of your first playthrough! We can’t wait to hear what you think.

In other news…..

We’re two weeks away from submitting final files to our manufacturer! It’s starting to get super exciting. We’re looking at mid-June for delivery of our final prototype proof, and production will run for 30 days in August. We’re looking at having games shipped the first or second week of September (to us). 

At this pace, we’re entirely on track for our December/January dispatch - though of course life always throws curveballs so anything could happen. Fingers crossed though - it’s looking good so far!
